I have a button that opens a PDF. It works in Preview. When I publish to Export PDF, the button no longer works. Thoughts?

Are the target PDF and Word doc in the same folder as the published Cp PDF?

When you create a link to an external file Cp try to help by copying it near the cptx file, but you have to copy it to the published folder, AFAIK.

It's likely Flash Security settings preventing the link from working. You will either need to flag the location as "trusted" or put the Captivate and PDF on a web server to test. As long as it worked in preview and it's going to end up on a web server, your end users won't have issues and the link should work fine.

    Cheers... Rick

    Hey Rick,

The published PDF opens and works as expected EXCEPT for the button that, when clicked, should open a linked PDF (a PDF'd Word doc).

If it were the Flash Security settings, wouldn't there be issues with the published file opening?

Hmmm, perhaps I misunderstood. Sounds like you have sort of an "inception" thing going on? Are you by chance using Captivate published as a PDF to try and open a linked PDF from inside a PDF?
