Captivate lagging and freezing

Hello,

I'm trying to run the latest version of Captivate on my Mac. I have a brand new mac with tons of free space. The program is SO slow its almost unbearable to work in. When I try to preview my projects it lags and freezes up the entire computer so that I have to restart it. I am at my wits end. Any suggestions?

    Are you working on project files that are on your local hard drive?

    Do you have your Default Locations set to local hard drive folders?

    If you are working from a Retina Screen, you may need to lower your display settings to reduce load on the graphics card.  It's a known issue with Captivate on Macs.  I'm a Windows user so someone else will need to tell you how it's done.
