I am currently using the Captivate 2017 trial. I have created 3 trainings using the tool and am looking to publish them. However I received the below error message. Is it true that once the trial expires, the content will no longer be available? Even if I downloaded the files locally to my machine?
Does anyone have a workaround? It seems disingenuous to offer a full trial without communicating information around publishing restrictions. After spending 2 full weeks working on these modules, I would be really upset to lose them.
We are still deciding on purchasing, as I was the "test user" for the company as a whole.

You will not 'lose' them. However the published courses will also expire after 30 days. A free trial allows you to test out the software before buying. You'll have the raw files (cptx) but you'll not be able to edit them when the trial version expires. If you decide to license Captivate you will be able to edit the raw files. It will be necessary to publish the courses again with the licensed version to take away the expiration date.
