Click boxes (alternatives or show a border around them?)

Regarding insert\standard objects\click box:

Currently I don't know of a simpler (in terms of efforts/steps involved) way to create 'slide-over' or 'pop-up' boxes or hyperlinks.

The only caveat to using click boxes is that you cannot color them or automatically include a box around them.

Just so there is no mistake, click boxes include a text box, which automatically appears when the mouse is rolled over the active area. On the other hand, roll-over slidelets allow colors and borders, however, they do not include a pop-up text box. A text box can be added but that requires additional effort.... which ultimately slows down development.

Thanks

Correct answer Captiv8r

Greetings Rick,

AFAIK, buttons don't have a text box pop-up (like click-boxes).

Correct me if I am wrong, but I think I am looking for an enhancement request.

See graphic of what I am ultimately looking for:

Hi Shawn

Buttons and Click Boxes have the same options. What you presented seems like you are looking for the Hint Caption.

Hi Shawn

Not sure what you are after here. The thread somewhat reads as a possible reply to another? But it's a thread of its own. So not sure if you are seeking suggestions or offering some to another.

Hmm... I guess I wasn't very clear. LOL

The issue is that I have a problem with using click boxes because they remain 'invisible' until the mouse moves over them. I am wondering if there is a 'hidden' feature that allows me to include a border around them.

I know I could add my own separate boxes or use rollover slidelets but both alternatives involve several additional steps.

Thanks again Rick,

Sometimes I am so daft!

1. Hint caption was the correct terminology that I failed to use.

2. I did not know that buttons also have the hint option.

Is it safe to assume that transparent buttons and click boxes behave the same way?

What is the purpose of a click box? ...when a transparent button appears to offer the same functionality?
