Compare Captivate v5 to v9

New Here ,
Nov 29, 2016 Nov 29, 2016

I'm working to build a business case for upgrading from my current version (5) to the latest version of Captivate. Can anyone give me some of the key highlights as far as the difference between these two?

You'll likely need to do the homework on this, as it's been years since most of us passed on from Captivate 5.5 to 6.

Here is the current features list for Cp9:

Adobe Captivate 9 - Features

Oh, I did have one valuable thought today:

The single biggest selling point for IT will be that Cp9 supports HTML5 output much better than previous versions.

If support for flash is on their sundown list at all, sell the upgrade as required to update content before flash support ends.

I would say one BIG reason why you need to get onto updating right now is that courses from the Cp5 era might not be able to be imported into the current version of Captivate.  It's normal for Captivate to be unable to open previous older versions beyond a certain point.

Have you TRIED downloading the Cp9 trial version and checking whether it will even open your Cp5 courses?
