CP8 Skin Editor won't allow me to have a play button

I can't figure out what I've done, but the skin editor won't give me the choice of play, rewind, forward, back, or the progress bar. This is my first presentation that includes a lot of videos. Is it related to that? If so, is there a different way I should be loading my videos to allow my users to navigate the presentation?

Hi there

I believe this is a side effect of having the Branch Aware feature enabled. If you click Edit > Preferences > Quiz > Settings and enable or disable Branch Aware from there.

Not only Branch aware but also the use of Pretest questions will lead to

limited navigation as you experience now.

For anyone interested, the issue persists in Captivate 10. why have the pre-test option if it ruins the rest of your project. this should have been corrected already.

i never use the Pretest questions as they are designed, there are other possibilities. Did you log a feature request?

Hi Rick,

This is branch aware-- I give the user the option to take the test without the module or to take the module and then the test. If they do the latter, I can't let them see how long the course will take?
