Question

cpcmndcc makes crappy subs

My list of unbelievable bugs in Captivate has grown.

I'm having a flash file, where the user can opt if he wants sound or not. If not, subs are set via cpcmndcc at runtime to a loaded captivate file.

The subs, however, are not displayed in full length, but in smaller range (about 20% of the screen), result is, that most of the text is not visible. Everything I have set up (except for the lines!) is not there (alpha e.g.)

Am I'm right in assuming that this is a bug and Adobe does not care for this, as always? Is there a workaround?

Hi there

I'm guessing that when you type subs, we are supposed to understand that you are referring to as Closed Captioning? In this case, "subs" may mean "sub titles"?

Assuming that's the case, you may have encountered a quirk mentioned in the thread linked below. Note that a workaround is offered there as well. The thread is fairly long, so it will take a bit of time to digest.

Yeah, sorry 'bout my bad habbits . When I arrive at Adobe Forums, I'm usually already on the edge & and stuck in a time critical project & with a mail by the adobe support suggesting to uninstall & reinstall the creative suite (in the exact same wording as every reply from the support to whatever the problem is).

However, your guess was right, I meant Close Captioning. I'll try the mentioned Workaround.
