Is there any way where you can customize the auto play button in Captivate 4?

Hi there

You are able to customize the colors. But not the symbol.

Hi Rick

Thanks for the response.

I can't seem to find a way to edit, even the color of the auto play button found at Publish> Project> Start End> Project Start Options> AUTO PLAY.

I am not referring to the playbar controls but to the AUTO PLAY button, same location where you include preloaders for project.

Hello again

Indeed I do believe I understood perfectly what you wish to do.

But if you look carefully at the image I supplied, you will see that the color options specified for the playback controls also control the color aspects of the button.

If you wish to totally control the appearance of the button, turn it off so the project just plays automatically. Then create your own button and insert it on the first slide to pause and wait for user interaction.

Cheers... Rick

So disabling the playback controls leaves no choice to modify, from captivate itself, the default green auto play button?

Hi again

Nope. Without playback controls you get the default green button. That's the way it works.

But as I said earlier, you DO have the option of allowing the project to auto play. Then simply inserting a standard Button Object that will pause the slide. And when you do that you are able to configure the look and feel of the Button Object in infinite ways. I'm puzzled as to why you seem reluctant to consider that as an alternative. It would seem to be the easiest way to accomplish what you seem to be wanting.

Anyhoo, that's how it works in Captivate.

Cheers... Rick
