Full Motion Recording Blinking in HTML5 Output in Captivate 6

New Here ,
Jul 03, 2012 Jul 03, 2012

I am doing some testing with Captivate 6 and ran into an issue with the HTML5 output.  I have 3 or 4 Full Motion slides in a row and the project blinks in between each of the slides after publishing in HTML5.  Has anyone else run into this issue?

Thanks,

Sean

Hi Sean,

I suggest using Video Demo instead of FMR for better quality and size. If you still want to use FMR, we can investigate the issue. Send me sample project at sankaram@adobe.com.

Thanks,

Sankaram.

Sankaram,

It is not a full FMR file.  There are several slides within an existing project where FMR was activated to capture the screen in a software demo and then turned off to go back to normal slides.  This is an existing project from Captivate 5 so going back and recording these individual little slides is not possible.  I will send you a sample.

Sean

I am having the same issue. With FMR slides (in HTML5 output), there is a really bad blinking/flashing. What is the solution?

It sounds similar to the issue I posted here: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1031123?tstart=30

A solution was never provided except for the same as your issue...to record in HD video. The problem with the video is that if I turn off the global playbar, the video itself can't have a playbar (my project isn't linear...I have it jump around in the slides when buttons are clicked...the playbar causes this functionality to be skipped). Even if I turn it off globally and then turn it on for the video slide, the playbar still controls the entire project. I am not sure why they didn't give the movies the ability to have their own playbar (playback controls). It is really a limiting feature.
