Gif as animation

Question

Hi there,I have downloaded a very nice and simple template. Not sure where - must be from the Brothers.As you can see there is an SWF animation in it - the smiley.As you can also see - the smiley is in Media in the Library and has an extension gif. So it has been a gif in its previous life ...Also, the animation plays when exporting to HTML 5 - is that supposed to be so? I thought there are issues playing swf in HTML5.Overall, what is the way to import a gif so it works as an animation in an HTML 5 output?Thanks in advanceB

Thanks Lieve, I was trying with corrupted file. I get it now. Most gifs I find are with a black background. Where do you look for free for commercial use gifs? Ideally with a transparent background. Any hints?
