Hi

Why would an image used on a slide master not show when previewing or publishing a course in Captivate 8?

Thanks

Leanne

1.  Make sure that Master Slide is actually being used for one of the slides in the project.

2.  Try setting Master Slide Objects On Top to see if it appears then.

Hi Rod

The  slides are definitely being used in the course. That is how I am  picking up the issue.

When you say setting it on top, do you mean insert the image on the slide rather than the slide master? If so I have tried that as well but the images will still not show.

The odd thing is that my graphic designer created and exported multiple images for me and some of them work and others don't.

Have to say that this is quite frustrating. 🙂

Look on the slide Properties and find the option for Master Slide Objects On Top.  Select that option and then publish to check if the graphic shows up on the slide at runtime.  Sometimes the issue is that your object is just sitting underneath something else.  However, if it still doesn't show up in any way, even when that Master Slide is being used as the background for an otherwise blank slide, then there may be something wrong with the image itself.

Try copying the image from the master slide to a normal blank slide in the project to see if the image shows up at runtime then.

That means it is the image format that is causing troubles: what format has been used?

It is very rare to have an issue with a PNG or JPG file not showing up in Captivate.

Is it possible you have not set Visible in Output to ON? It's the small eye icon in the top of the Properties tab.
