Is there a way to add a checkbox on captivate? or is there a way to add an interaction such as button or a click box to a multiple choice question slide?

Thanks.

I have published some blog posts about learning interactions (where the use of the checkbox is treated), and about shape buttons on question slides:

Tips - Learning Interactions - Captivate blog

Buttons on Question/Score Slides in Captivate 6? - Captivate blog

It would be better if you clarified what you want to do with that 'checkbox'?

There is a CheckBox Learning Interaction that you can insert from the dialog at: Learning Interactions > Checkbox Widget.

The only interactive object you can add to a quiz question slide is the Smart Shape Button. If you need it to act like a Click Box (be invisible) then you need to set the Opacity to 0%.

No, sorry, something I have already logged a feature request since the interaction (formerly widget) existed. No way.

Thanks again Lilybiri. May I have one more question please??

I have 14 questions in a quiz that I want them to randomise  each time when being taken the quiz.

How can I organise the random question pool or pools and the random question slides as well??

Thanks.

To have another subset from a question pool, you need to restart the course. Having multiple attempts on quiz level during one session will always present the same random question slides from that pool.

Create the question pool with the Question Pool Manager or the Question Pool panel. Then insert as many random question slides as you need. You can also link multiple question pools to one file if you want and indicate for each random question slide which pool to use.

Thank you very much for your quick response.

For my example If I create one question pool and 14 random question slides linking that question pool, will the questions be repeated?Because the each random slide will get the questions from the same pool. if this will be the possible fact, how can I avoid this situation?

Thanks again.

No, but you'll need to have enough questions in your question pool.

I have 14 question in total. By saying enough you mean that? I need 14 questions to be viewed randomly each time when a user take the quiz. That's the case.

Thanks again.

Normally you have more questions in the question pool than the number of questions that you want to show in a course. That is what question pools are meant to be for. You just want to have them shuffled, but you'll need to use random questions as well I'm afraid. Repeating: within the same session, the questions will always be presented in the same sequence in that case. You can also shuffle answers in those questions that support it (MCQ, Sequence, Matching).

Hello again,

I can't add comma to the Checkbox widget's title area, it splits the sentence and adds another checkbox with the rest of the sentence after comma. Any solution please??

Comma is the delimiter, try to use a - instead of comma.
