Question

How do I add video playback controls to a single slide that has a Youtube video on it

Newbie kind of question.  I'm dropping a simple Youtube video onto a single slide followed by a couple content slides and a Quiz on 10 subsequent slides.  How do I get the video playback controls on just the video slide for the video and not the rest of the slides through the whole project?  Secondly, is there a way to simply add a text box with automatic scroll bar?
Thanks

If you would have inserted a screenshot,  it would have been easier. I suppose you are talking about the Captivate playbar, which allows to control inserted slide video (which is video synchronized with Captivate's timeline).

You can hide the playbar by executing the command 'Hide Playbar' with the On Enter event of the next slide. Be careful: if you do not have that playbarin overlay, on the slides where you hide it, a grey bottom border will appear with the width corresponsing to the height of the used playbar.

For the second question: use the Scrolling Text Interaction instead of a shape or a text caption. At least if that is what you mean by 'text box'. If on the contrary you are talking about a Text Entry Box, you can use the Scrolling Text Interaction as well or check th eoption 'Add Scrollbar' in its Properties panel, Actions tab.

Still puzzled on the text box with scroll bar.  Caption text is clear.  Text entry box is clear for student answers and input.  What I need is a textbox for 5 paragraphs of text that I can copy and paste in from MS Word and shoot it into a textbox which will automatically display a scroll bar to present longer content to students.  Where do I find that object to drop in to a slide?
    Thanks.

Scrolling Text interaction can be insertedn from the big button 'Interactions/Learning Interactions'.

Avoid copy/paste from Word, please. MS is known for its bad style formatting. You need un formatted text to paste into Captivate, because that is a style-based application.

Perfect on the scrolling bar with textbox.  Got it.  Easy.  Okay.
Looks like on the video I can do the play bar skin customization and get some results.
Still working on that.  Thanks for all your help.  Sorry for so many "dumb" questions.
