How do I turn off the mouse clicks for Captivate 8? It appears that the most recent set of instructions are from 2013 and the dialogue box has changed. I'll also say that I'm brand new to Captivate
Not totally true: you can select one mouse object in the Project, turn off the Mouse click. Then use the top-right menu in the properties panel (hotdog or hamburger icon) and choose 'Apply to all items of this type' and mouse click is turned off in the whole project.

Look in the project preferences. You can turn off mouse and keyboard click sounds.

I have the same question. In preferences, you can turn off camera sounds and key strokes, but not mouse click sounds - which means that, for every slide with a mouse click, I have to select the mouse in the timeline, then deselect mouse click sound in the properties panel.
We very much need a way to turn them all off at once. Please, Adobe, give us a way to do that. This default setting is very frustrating, and it is a great time waster.
Thanks,
jb, Atlanta

Is there any way to turn off mouse clicks before you start a software simulation screen recording? Or can they only be disabled after the fact in the Properties Inspector.

Turning off the mouse clicks is not in the Preferences, typing sounds can be deactivated.
However if you never want to hear click sounds, find the file 'Mouse.mp3' in the GalleryMouse\ClickSounds and edit it so that you have no click.

I edited the mouse.mp3 to be silent, no sound.
