How do I work with Cache Folder when I only have remote drives

Really wanting some help. I don't have access to my C Drive and work with Captivate in a corporate environment, in  AVC. Everytime I try and change Preferences I get the error message to change the location of the Cache drive to local.

Have others faced this and how have they navigated it?

I am assuming that your IT department is forcing you to use roaming user profiles that are stored on a virtual server. Is that the case?

If so, you will need to alert the IT dudes to the fact that Captivate will not function correctly under this setup.   It will likely crash often without warning, causing you to lose work due to corrupted project files.

So they will need to have someone with Admin rights log into your PC and change Captivate's preferences to set the Default Folders to local drive folders.

Captivate can usually be set up to work fine even in a locked-down Corporate environment but your IT department needs to realise that they are NOT dealing with a normal application when it comes to Captivate.  It has special requirements that cannot be ignored.

To add to Rod's answer: You really need administrator rights for Captivate to be able to control its environment and Preferences are only one of those features.
