What  procedures do you implement in order to plan out your e-Learning projects?

How do you collect information from your client?

How do you give organize and delegate your the various elements of e-Learning to your team?

I cannot reveal all my secrets now can I?

Actually my process is fairly simple.

Assuming you have determined business goals, learning objectives and so on, I usually start with a topic list or an outline of what I think the course should contain. I keep breaking that topic list or outline down into smaller and smaller chunks until I essentially have all the knowledge or skills required to effectively do whatever it is that I’m required to train.

Next I take each chunk of information or skill and create a little cycle of presentation and application, with some feedback thrown into the application. I repeat this until all the knowledge or skills are taught.

I conclude my course design with some kind of scored assessment (quiz or scenario based exercise) and provide my learners with a pass or fail.

All this is done on paper and I send it off for review with my project stakeholders. Once I get their sign off, I build the thing in Captivate with all the bells and whistles.
