Hello Adobe Community,
I created my own customized Knowledge check question slides and answer slides. For this I used the advanced questions with commands for the different objects. My Problem is that i Need to create a new duplicate of These advanced Action for every new slide/question because the names of the Buttons are different. So i have to Change the names in the advanced Action for all 20 questions.
Does anyone know a better and effective way to handle this?
Thanks in advance
Gabriel

That is something that I would first reflect on before creating the advanced actions, how I could save time.
If you post a screenshot of the advanced action, and of the timeline, maybe I could offer some ideas like:

My "Add Media" button does not work. Could you send me an email to xxxxxxx so I can mail you the screenshots?

Go directly to the Jive forum, this is your thread:
Re: How to automate my advanced Actions for different slides?
It is much easier to insert screenshots there with this button:

Please, the timeline?
Maybe you could read this article, explaining the ins and outs of the Advanced Actions dialog box. Use the Preview button to see the total picture of that advanced action:

I is bit difficult with those partial screenshots. It looks like you can simplify the actions by using groups. I suspect Einblenden = Show and Ausblenden = Hide. If you group everything you can first Hide the group, than show the objects you want to make visible. It will also reduce the number of parameters in a shared action.

Thanks but the groups would not Change that I Need to create a new advanced Action for every question. Actually the timeline is not interesting at all because it does not really influence the principle. But I will add a screenshot of this

I was trying to help you but it looks like you don't really want help. Timeline is very important, since the advanced or shared actions are triggered at the pausing points of interactive objects. You have two different pausing points on this timeline. FB7_3 and B7_2 are pausing at 1,5sec, WB7_1 at 2,4secs. I would have loved to see the complete picture of the actions by seeing the Preview of all decisions at once, but you didn't (want to?) understand me. My native language isn't English neither, I do understand German (4th language).
Grouping can save a lot of time by decrementing the number of commands in an advanced action.
I was looking for a way to use shared actions instead of advanced actions, but since you don't seem to believe me it has not much sense to try to help you. Lack of trust is the biggest stumbling block when trying to help other users. I couldn't guarantee you to be able to help, but one of my nicknames in the community here is 'Queen of Advanced Actions'. It is because of that particular expertise that I'm contacted as consultant.
It looks to me that you make the whole setup too complicated but I could be wrong of course since the whole picture is still very confusing. Do you have Success/Failure slides for each question? Can you reuse those slides, by using the same slides but only replace the content in the text containers by filling them with a variable? Lot of questions, but I will not bother you anymore, hope someone else will help you who you are able to trust.

Hello Ms Lilybiri
I am really sorry if we missunderstood each other and I really appreciate the help of everybody in this community. I would like to send you my cptx file so that you are able to understand what I am doing there. But i can not. Would you either send me an email xxxxxx to give my your email, so i can send you my file.
I read the blog entry you sent me and i watched a YouTube Video about shared Actions and grouping to understand your idea. It is actually a good time saver but unfortunately not the solution i was looking for (what would be perfectly ok if there is no).
To answer your questions: I have different states for the correct or incorrect shape. I actually use just one variable to identify if the user selects the correct or incorrect answer but I still Need to Change the names of the objects.
In totally respect
Gabriel

Sorry, Gabriel, but I don't accept to debug files anymore.
I hope someone else can help you out, lack of trust is a show stopper for me.

We do offer a replay of a webinar we did and you can get all of the JavaScript files to automate what you want. Or we can customize the scripts for you. This is a perfect case for JavaScript. Our scripts work with a naming convention like yours where you use the slide number for item that are clicked and to show/hide elements and feedback.

I realized that I may have misunderstood the question when I recorded a video reply but nevertheless here are my two cents on duplicating anything with variables and advanced actions.

Thank you a lot Paul. Actually I built my advanced action and the customized question and answer slides with your example. But like you said above you misunderstood my problem a bit. I think the solution will be JavaScript. Do you think you can show the basics of this in one of your next videos? Or maybe in your next live stream on 14th? Looking forward to this.
Have a great day
Gabriel
