How to personalise elearning

Hi all.

It's been a while since I have been here as things have been moving smoothly. However that is about to change. Our LMS uses typical SCORM elements, however how do I obtain the detail from the LMS using a captivate elearning?

Using Captivate 8 I'd like to personalise the elearning by querying the LMS to provide the logged in users name. Our LMS holds this detail in cmi.core.student_id as it is SCORM compliant. (SCORM 1.2)

I've tried a couple of Javascript tests but havent been able to get it to work.


Has anyone attempted this before? If so, what was the result?

Hi all.

A bit of digging has found a comparable question and a full answer about CP6. Just tested it and it pretty much works.
