I just want to place ONE image on the screen.

Wow.  When I select "Image" from ther Add Media Blocks options I get TWO images.  Why?  Why?  If I try and hide one of the images off it hides both. Why?  I understand that for responsive design we have to template/widget everything ( are the days of truly custom designed training gone? ) but why can't I add one image on it's own?  Why?

Can you upload a screen capture--or better yet, a simple recording of your process and results?

Sorry, it's "Create Slide" that's doing this.  Added a video.  Even when I can add Image from Media Blocks I get text I have to deal with.  I just want to place an image on the screen where I want to place it.

The Create Slide option inserts an Image Grid, not Image. The grids minimum images is 2.

Insert a blank slide and add the image block (single) image.

Turn on/off the options you want.
