After downloading and installing Adobe Captivate 2019 on my Mac, I now versions 2019 and 2017. The other day a message box popped up stating I could update to 2019 when I opened Captivate 2017. I did not do anything. I was hoping to take a screen shot to display here. Strangely, it did not open this time.
I know it's easy enough to just drag Captivate 2017 to the trash. However, I want to do this correctly.
Does anyone have directions on how I should uninstall Captivate 2017 so and keep Captivate 2019?
Thanks
You do NOT need to uninstall Captivate 2017 to have Captivate 2019 on the same computer. In fact I would advise that you keep both on there for the time being. I have several different versions of Captivate on my laptop.

The message you are seeing when you open in Captivate 2017 is just marketing blurb from Adobe trying to get you to purchase the newer version. Yes it would be nice if Adobe had seen fit to include some way of checking your system to find out whether or not you had ALREADY purchased and installed the newer version BEFORE giving you this unnecessary (and potentially confusing) notification, but in my experience the marketing folks in most organisations are more focused on sales than they are on practical considerations for end users.
Ignore the message.

Thank you for the feedback. I'll keep both.
