Idle question: Can a .cptx file be reverse engineered from an HTML5 output?

Our configuration management person was just wondering if one day a .cptx were to get lost from a project that had been published as an HTML5 or .swf project was there a way to reverse it back and create a .cptx?

    No, Susan. You cannot create the source file from a published output. If

    the output doesn't have a lot of interactivity, you could play it and

    capture as a Video Demo. Some interactivity can be restored in CP2019

    using interactive video.

    I generally always maintain my own copy of any project I do for a client.

    A number of times they have contacted me years later asking if I happened to have copies of the source files because they had lost their own (despite the fact that I had given all source files to them at the end of the project).  Most clients have been very grateful that I could save their bacon this way.

    Sometimes it even resulted in more work from them because the usual reason they were looking for the files was to perform some needed update.
