  1. Is it possible to import an Excel document into Captivate 4?
  2. Is it possibe to create a flow chart in Captivate 4? A flow chart was created in Visio and I would like to import into Captivave; I prefer not to use a .PDF document.

    Hello,

When I'm using images created in Visio, mostly I save them as PNG and import this image into Captivate, because it allows me to control the resolution (dimensions) before inserting the image in CP.

Are you talking about a range from Excel or perhaps a graph? There is no direct import (and certainly not as an OLE) into CP. You could capture the range with CP however.

    Hello Lilybiri,

It looks like we are doing the same thing in a slightly different way but in the end we have an image.

I have also done it this way, instead of making it an image (since I needed to keep changing it), I inserted the image I from Viso into a PPT slide, then I imported this into CP, now I since it is linked I can edit the PPT when I need to make changes directly from Captivate, when th ePPT window opens i can edit the deawing like i was in Viso. now in my case I was using the full PPT page for the image so I did not have to worry about resizing and stuff.. not sure if this would work for small images since I was dealing with drawing of equipment.

    Hi,

I realise this is late in the thread but I was wondering how you can stop the images from looking blurry when you insert them from Visio? This also happened when I tried to insert a table I created in MS Word. Perhaps my images are too big for the page but I really need to insert all of the information. Thanks for any help....

I not sure you can do a direct import into Captivate from Viso, but I have done a copy and paste; I select what I needed in Viso and then copy it into the slide I need the info. I think Captivate treats this like an image so you wont be able to change anything you would have to re copy and paste.
