I have a customer who has courses created using an open-source development tool and the end product is HTML5.  Is there a way to import and edit the course into Captivate?

Are you talking about 'HTML5 templates' created with Adobe Captivate?  If not, your post here might be regarded as promoting products that are NOT relevant to this forum and therefore deleted as SPAM by the moderator.

Rod, a moderator approved this answer, it doesn't appear anywhere else. For

that reason I did not delete it, could be a genuine answer on a

misunderstood question.

No.  Captivate does not support such an import option.  You would need to recreate the course in Captivate from the original course assets.

I worked on a captivate project for several hours even exported it to html5 and then closed the project without thinking and didn't save it. The only finished work I have left is the exported html5. Is there anyway to recover this for further editing?

You might be able to recover more from the cached version.  It's a long shot but worth a try.
