Why is the end of the cpvc being cut off after I choose Insert CPVC into my CPTX?

Thanks

I extended the original CPVC and did a new Insert and it ended fine.

Sorry, missed your question, but that would have been my suggestion. I mostly record a cpvc-slide from within the cptx file, not insert an existing cpvc. It sounds like a 'bug' if it is cut off, happens sometimes with audio-files as well. Did you try to extend just the slide duration in the cptx-file as an alternative?

    Thanks Lilybiri,

Yes, I did try to extend the cptx timeline. It still got cut off.

So recording a cpvc-slide from within a cptx file is something that sounds new to me.

I mostly use it for short videos, sometimes to replace the FMR slides in simulations which are not to be trusted for HTML output.

You know perhaps that I don't like the UI change since CP8, one of the reasons it the inconsistency. To create a cpvc-slide in a cptx project, you have pretty much the same work flow as for inserting more software sim slides.

    • On the slide before the to be created CPVC slide, use Slides button on the Big Button Bar, and choose 'Video Demo'.

The Record dialog box will open, same as for Software Simulation slides (also from the Slides button on the BBB).

Contrary to that, unexpectedly, insertion of extra software simulation slides is NOT possible with the Insert menu (not even an option), and Insert CPVC-slide is just for inserting an existing CPVC-slide. My engineers' mind always starts protesting that there is a lack of logic in this UI.
