Can you please give some more details?
One question: did you set up Reporting under Quiz Preferences?

yes, I did setup Reporting under Quiz preferences and teh entire project has some content slides with Knowledge Check slides at the end.I published in SCORM 1.2 format and checked index.html, its showing up as a blank page. I also did try to upload into LMS and it did behave the same way.

It is just guessing for me. Can you post a screenshot of the Reporting and Settings panels under Quiz Preferences?
Can you check the output by uploading to SCORM Cloud. That is the ultimate test to check if the problem is due to the authoring tool or to the LMS.

If it works OK on SCORM Cloud, you need to talk+ with the LMS people. Tell them the issue of not opening is not the case in SCORM Cloud, which is the standard for SCOs.
However I see that you require 100% slide views + attempt Quiz. Not all LMSs work great with that 100% slide views because not all slides are viewed until their last frame.

hi,
I've unchecked Slideviews to check how it works but index.html opens up a blank page.
I also had this issue raised with LMS team, they tested SCORM file on various browsers and are suspecting the SCORM file generated from Captivate 12 is not in correct format which could be the reason of this issue and suggested to get in touch with Adobe Support.

Don't listen to your LMS people in this instance. I see this answer all the time when they do NOT want to have to look more deeply into an issue.
If the same SCORM zip file uploads and plays OK in SCORM Cloud you can safely assume that there is nothing fundamentally wrong with the package. It should also work in any other SCORM-compliant LMS.
Just one question I would like to ask: You keep referring to launching the module using index.html. How are you launching it? Are you just opening up the ZIP file and double-clicking the index.html file to test it? If so, that is never going to work. HTML5 content really needs to be launched from a web server environment to work. And any content inside a ZIP file would first need to be extracted to a folder on your computer otherwise the linkages between files would be broken.

Please listen to Rod and to me: did you tell the LMS people that this is working in SCORM Cloud? They know very well that the SCORM developers have created this site to enable you to test compatibility of the LMSs with their protocol. The problem is clearly with the LMS.

I have the same issue except it is intermitent. It sometimes loads normally and other times just opens a blank white screen. This happens in our current LMS (Taleo), the LMS we are currently switching to (Workday), and SCORM Cloud. I've tested both SCORM 1.2 and SCORM 2004 3rd ed. using SCORM Cloud and received the same results as our LMS. I have the completion criteria set to Quiz is passed. When the course does not load, this is the error displayed in Chrome Dev Tools:
Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'CPProjInit')

I should also mention that this is happening for both of the courses I've published from new Captivate (12.0.0.2892).

Do you mind me asking what LMS you are using? I am having this exact same issue with our LMS, HealthStream.

I'm seeing the same thing in our home-grown LMS. But for mine, if the user exits the lesson then goes back in, it plays fine. I'm dreading taking this to our IT group.

Yes, I have exactly the same issue using chamillo LMS. The course works fine if I send it to adobe learning design LMS (I am using their 30 day free trial). Same course in chamillo -> white screen and course won't play at all no matter what i do. No matter what output i choose to publish the course - same problem.
It is a short test course with only 2 multichoice questions.

This is now solved!!! My hosting provider http://kualo.com found the solution. The file names outputted by captivate on my desktop in a folder in the scorm package called dist have a ~ in the file name. This symbol gets changed on upload to chamilo LMS. I can change the files back or just upload the files from the dist folder on my desktop and all works normally again.
It will be a huge pain going into cpanel everytime and changing the file names but at least i can make my courses work now. I am sure this info will help loads of people. Thank goodness for Kualo, the most amazing hosting service ever!!

Thanks for explaining. Can you show us the project name (or the publish name if you changed it from the project name) you have used? Due to my 'DOS' past I always avoid lot of characters and spaces in project names and always recommend this often in answers as well.

I had short and long names with and without spaces. Some uploads failed when the name was long. But this particular issue was unrelated to the name. It happens with every project. It is something my LMS is doing at the time of upload of the zip file.

Kualo are looking into whether there is a setting they can change that would allow the ~ but it may well be something that my LMS is doing.

I'm Just having the same issue since days and cannot solve it. Before it gave me a grey blank page when uploading to Moodle. I tried to change the ~ symbol and now the blank page is white, but same issue, it doesn't start.. any ideas?
Thank you!!
