Lines disappearing in Preview

Hi,

I have underlining lines on a slide, over an image, which appear fine in Captivate but disappear in Preview (all of the options).

I original had them set on a master slide, but they weren't showing (if I click master slide objects on top, everything disappears behind a white screen?).

I recreated them over the top of the image on the individual slide, but still no luck.

They are almost at the top of the z order (I've tried at the very top, but not showing). I've tried grouping and ungrouping them (there are two overlapping lines), locking and unlocking their position. I duplicated the slide and recreated them. Still no luck.

I'm using C9.0.2.437, responsive project.

I'd be grateful for any further suggestions please.

    Hi,

    Try to ungroup lines, I had similar problems with the lines contained in a group that not apear in the publication.

    if not, actually the lilybiri solution seems to be a good alternative.

    Hmmm, line shape has always been very troublesome. That object is not allowed in Fluid Boxes in CP2017, which is the new responsive project work flow. You are on breakpoint views workflow, I suspect. You are sure that the lines are visible in each breakpoint? That they are 'visible in output'? In many cases, where I have issues with line, I would replace it by a rectangle with a small width. Line object cannot be rotated, that is another use case where I replace it by a rectangle.

    Hi Lilybiri,

    Indeed - lines are visible on all breakpoints and are set to visible in output. It isn't the first time this has happened either, but its always when there is an image involved.

    Anyhow, I have taken your advice, thank you, and created two rectangle smart shapes. Its a little thicker than I would have liked (4px wide/deep) seems to be the smallest it will allow me, but it renders OK in the preview.

    You're welcome, it is a workaround but there are always issues with the line shape.
