Looking for ideas on how to manage a series of courses/ files that will have rolling updates.

I have a series of courses that are centered around software training. There will be several updates to the software in the coming months, so several of these courses will also have to be updated to reflect the changes.

What is the best way to keep track of what information is in each course without having to open each course to check?

I tried the course export option and I really love the Storyboard view. It is great that it gives the file paths to the images used, etc. It shows each slide, which is great. However, it doesn't show the text inside the caption bubbles (Shapes), so I cannot search through the document text after exported. This is only in the images. This export mode doesn't appear to show the slide notes either.

The Handout export option does show the caption bubble (shape) text, but does not have the image file paths. Is there a happy medium or a way to just export the caption bubble text?

Either of these options would still require someone to go through the documents to see what needs to be updated, but that should be quicker than going trough the courses.

Any other suggestions on keeping up with this so I don't lose my mind?

I really have no other worflow in mind, sorry. The Storyboard export, as you discovered is perhaps the best way. Personally I would watch the published course, eventually in the Reviewer app, to add comments to the slides/items to be updated.

What is the reviewer app? Is that part of Captivate Draft?
