Has anyone experienced issues with mac users not being able to complete a course created in Captivate? Our courses were created in CP6 and LMS people say their tests show incomplete when testing from a mac. Any pointers?

Alright, this clears the air somewhat.

Do one thing, if you have created the course, you must be aware about the answers, enroll yourself as a user and --

Appear for the course, make sure, you answer all (or enough questions to score 85% marks.) Not just the quiz you have to make sure you view 50% of the slides completely. So that means, if the slide dureact for each slide is say 1minute and there are 40 slides, view a minimum of 20 slides completely to their 1 minute duration.

Hi There!!

Yes, I the key lies in the settings you have configured under the Quiz Preferences-- Reporting/Settings/pass or Fail panel.

If you can share a screenshot of what you have configured here as well as what would you like to be a passing criteria for your user, I can advise you ahead.

Thanks!

Please try the above scenario and verify you get a completion on your LMS. If you do, then check again your User reports and you will certainly find that your users had failed ne or the other criteria (Slide Views/ Quiz Score)

Alternately, if you want to be linient enough to just mark completetion on Quiz Result, you can uncheck the Slide views option from Success/Completion Criteria, under Reporting.

Good Luck!

Anjaneai,

Thanks again; that worked. Now showing completion on Macs!! Since you've been 2 and 0 thus far with my BIG issues, I have a new one 🙂

The course is published for both SWF and HTML5 and exam failures are not showing for iPad users in the LMS.

Thanks again and please make it 3 - 0 🙂

Thats great you are finally getting good numbers on LMS!

Now, about this new problem, what happens when user appears on Ipad for the course?

Is he completing the course as per (above) explained criteria?

Does he get the pass/completion on his Quiz Result slide

Thanks,

Anjaneai

Does it give 'In progress' or 'incomplete' when user fails the course?

Can you tell me what browser (and version) are you using on iPad. Also, can you test the same behavior on iPhone, does give the same result, also try switching browsers and reappear for the course.

Have you enabled the bookmarking for the project on LMS?
