Mad lib in captivate?

Is there a way to set up 2 slides like a mad lib in captivate 8? In the first slide I would like to have several open ended questions where they input their answers (there is no right/wrong answer), where it would then populate the answers into corresponding numbered spots on the second slide that has the fill in the blank story on it.

    I don't understand 'mad lib', I'm from Belgium. What do you mean exactly by 'corresponding numbered spots'?

    Mad Libs is a word game. The player is asked to provide a type of word (noun, verb, adverb, etc.) without the context of the story. The words are then placed into the story - often with hilarious results. You can learn more about them at www.madlibs.com.

    I can't answer for erinh80, but I'm guessing the corresponding numbered spots would be the words requested on page 1, and then displaying the learner's provided words in the story on page 2. Sounds like a fun interaction!

    Thanks for the explanation. I expect some issues. You don't have to define variables for a TEB, they are automatically created and can be inserted. Possible issues:

    1. Since it has to be a 'sentence', and the length of the words is unknown, the sentence could show gaps  or overlapping words
    2. Adding variables in a text container turns it into a dynamic text which will be generated on runtime. Only websafe fonts can be used
    3. Combination of variables and static text doesn't always look very well.

    Worth trying out.

    Hi there

    Should be pretty straightforward to accomplish. You would insert Text Entry Boxes to capture the text. You would also need to declare variables and link them with each Text Entry Box so that the answer is stored in the variable. Then you would use the Variables in a Text Caption or Smart Shape object on the next slide so the answers are presented.
