I recently uninstalled my captivate because i was having consistant problems with saving projects where it would become unresponsive, and now it comes up with the error message displayed below, behind it you can see the files i have saved, and i dont understand why things arent working i need an answer quickly as im working today and need captivate and i only thought a reinstall would be quick.

You only have the ls21-file not the main part of Captivate which is about 1GB. How did you install?

You may need to re-download the Captivate installer file to get all of the bits you need.  You can just download the trial version Cp7 file from the Adobe website.

Hopefully before you uninstalled the original Captivate installation you also de-activated your license so that you can still use your serial number to activate the next install.

By the way, it's not usually a good idea to store a lot of large files like these in your My Documents folder.  Sometimes these folders are limited in size and that might be one of the reasons why your installer file is missing bits.  If you only have access to the My Documents folder and cannot place these install files in another area, might be best to get the main install over and done with first before loading in the other files that are just for the extra elearning assets and TTS voices.

Your screenshot also shows your main hard drive as being an E drive rather than a C drive.  This might be the cause of your original issue where Captivate was becoming unresponsive.  Are you working on some kind of virtualised system perhaps?  Is your My Documents folder or profile actually NOT on your local PC but on a network drive?  If so, that's probably where your issues are coming from.

Captivate isn't installed in your My Documents folder.  So even if the previous version has not properly uninstalled that should not have affected downloads. There must have been another issue.
