Neospeech voices not available after installation

I've just installed the Technical Communications Suite 2017 that includes Captivate 2017 x32 & x64. Ran normally, no issues.

I downloaded the NeoSpeech x64 package and installed it using administrator privileges. Ran normally, no issues.

I only see the 2 default windows system voices, the additional Neospeech voices don't appear in the list.

I completely removed everything and re-installed making sure to use administrator privileges when I re-installed. No change.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

What you describe is a common "issue" that usually means you did not do the NeoSpeech install correctly.  It's a two-step process.  The first part just unpacks the archive.  The second part of the process then has to be initiated to perform the installation of the voices.

So after you run the first part of the install for the voices, you need to look on your desktop for a folder that will contain the actual installation files.  In that folder you should see the setup file you need to run for the installation of the voices.

I did unpack the packages and ran the setup file from there.

I somehow accidentally fixed the issue.

I don't use the x32 version so I usually wouldn't add the voice files to it.

As a test I installed the x32 voices which use a different package which did install correctly and for whatever reason the x64 voices suddenly appeared in the list????

Not sure why this should fix the issue but it worked.
