PowerPoint and Captivate Not Communicating

When I try and edit a PPT in Captivate, I get a gray screen. It used to take me to my PowerPoint deck then I would edit the slide click save then automatically go back to Captivate filmstrip. I have a Windows 10 and Captivate 2019 with the lastest version. My MS office is updated as well.

Any advice?

OMG, the same thing is happening to me recently. Has a fix been found?

    Hi-

They do not have a fix but report the issue to this person at Adobe:

I constantly have problems with the Captivate/PPT workflow. It's usually from a couple of issues:

    • PowerPoint has been updated. I have to uninstall and re-install PPT.
    • Captivate does not like working on a 4K monitor for in-Captivate PPT editing (and screen recording). Editing PPT separately and updating in Captivate does work.

Did this issue begin sometime AFTER you updated MS Office?

Depending on your Windows update settings, Office products can update automatically and you may never know.
