project expired with Captivate 9 trial -- will it work when I buy Captivate?

Help -- I just found my trial version Captivate 9 project is coming up "project has expired". I had no idea this would happen. If I buy the program/subscribe, will it be usable? I've seen conflicting discussions on the internet, some saying I'll have to rebuild it (!!) Adobe, what's the answer before I buy Captivate?
