Hi All, my company does not have a LMS, so needing to publish locally. Am just wondering which html file I share with users (assuming it's the index.html one), and how others have successfully gone about setting up access to this file for users - eg have you moved the file to a shared platform for access. Thanks in advance 🙂

You need to move ALL of the published output (not just the index, html file) onto a web server environment that your reviewers or other audience members can get to. Once the content is online then you need to send them a link to the index.html file to launch the content.

Thankyou! I originally thought I could host on Sharepoint, but appears that is not suitable. Am investigating Confluence. Any other suggestions? Thanks in advance.

...sorry just to add, Publish projects as HTML5 files with Adobe Captivate simply states 'After the project is published, you can either preview the project or view the published content in the location.'...so another possible option would be to save to a folder which is accessible on my network maybe?

Unfortunately, the answer is NO. HTML5 content will not work reliably from a LAN server. Some things might work, but you will inevitably run into problems. You need a WEB server.

Rod is correct! The best web service solution I have used is Amazon AWS.
Paul Wilson has a good video on how to- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i4xVEOZZVpQ
BUT I would be careful about costs- I've only used it for small audiences.

Depending on how large your organisation is and how accommodating the IT department is, you may find that it is possible to have space allocated to you on the corporate intranet, or they may even be able to set you up with a web server just for your needs. In the organisation I am currently contracted to they have an arrangement with a third party technology company that provided a secured intranet server to upload our course materials to make them available for reviewers.
But your mileage may differe...
