Publishing Project to Adobe Connect but Receiving a Flash Player Requirement

New Here ,
Jan 19, 2017 Jan 19, 2017

Hi,

I am trying to publish a project to Adobe Connect, but receive a message that Adobe Connect requires Flash Player 13.0 or above. I have installed Flash Player, restarted my computer, and tried publishing my project again, but still receive the same message. Has anyone else experienced this issue and found a solution to this?

Thanks,

Josh

First - just select no on the pop up for the do you want to install Flash player update and see if your room opens anyway. I just finished a session and had a pop up tell me I needed an update. I declined and the room opened anyway.

That said - I understand there was an update pushed for Connect today - did you install it?

Installed it, I always do.

In a locked down, imaged environment and can't do an install without an IT intervention - definitely can't do the update without some seriously paranoid security testing. Last time this "broke" due to the pop up requiring a flash player update, we stumbled across clicking no to cancel the update and the room opened without a problem. Until the next program update is cleared, this my work-around.

Unfortunately it won't let me continue and publish the project (see below):

Adobe Connect

In regards to the update with Adobe Connect, are you referring to the Adobe Connect 9 Meeting Add-In?

My mistake - I assumed you were able to get into Connect and load it - you just couldn't get the project to load when selected. Sorry. You v can't even get into Connect to build a room or use the "LMS" capability it has as an admin user?

No worries! I am able to get into my Adobe Connect room, but unable to publish the Adobe Captivate project to it because Adobe Captivate still doesn't think I have Flash Player installed.

So -

1. you're in the room

2. you have the ability to upload as a presenter or host

3. you published your Captivate file packaged for Adobe Connect

and

4. it simply won't take it - keeps saying you have to have Flash Player 13.

I wish I had an answer - you may need to drop into the Connect forum and find a guru. You followed the process that should work /has worked for me. I'm stumped.

I have the same issue. The link to download Flash doesn't work (I already have the most recent installed). I can see everything in Connect when I log on through my browser, but when I try to publish my project to Connect (not in a classroom), it gives me the same error. I was able to do it a month ago, but now I can't. How do I get Captivate to recognize my Flash Player?
