Publishing project w Flash 9 Player Option - Continue button not working

I have updated projects created in Cap 3 using Cap 5.  When I preview in "Web Browser" option continue button pointed to a specific

URL functions.  After publishing with Flash 9 Player Option selected continue button does not work.  When right clicking on button in web broswer it gives three options:

Settings

Global Settings

About Adobe Flash Player 10

This suggests that the button will not function properly without Flash Player 10 installed.

Please advise - I am at a loss on what to do.  My company will not be installing Flash Player 10 on desktops.

Right clicking on any published SWF running in a web browser will show you the options you speak of.

This isn't likely to be the reason your button isn't working properly.  Captivate buttons set to open a URL should work in Flash player 9 or 10 without issue.

Perhaps there's something else you haven't told us yet:

• When you publish your content, are you publishing with the option ticked to Export to HTML or only as a standalone SWF?
• Have you uploaded your content to your web server as yet and tested it from that environment?  If so, are you only uploading the SWF, or published HTM and JS files as well?
• Since this was a project that was originally Cp3 format, have you tried deleting your button and recreating it in Cp5?  (I'm wondering if the button is glitchy.)
