Quiz "Submit" button grayed out on retake after resume

Hello, 

 

I created a short quiz and have set the ability to retake the quiz on fail. However, I've learned that the submit button will be grayed out if the quiz window is closed and reopened "resumed". This isn't an issue on the first try of the quiz and only when in the retake. 

 

I am able to move to the next question using the slide navigation, upon review the grayed out submit question shows as no answer chosen in the end. 

 

Using the newest captivate.

Please can you give the full version number? You find it under Help, About Captivate. There have been already some updates.

Can you also explain what you mean by 'if the quiz window is closed and reopened "resumed"'? Are you talking about a new session after closing a first one?

Version is 12.3.0.12 (on a trial if that makes a difference). 

 

I am currently testing it in my LMS and using Scorm cloud. 

When I start the quiz, it opens up in a new window.

If I take the test and fail. I've created the option to retake the quiz. 

Once I've hit retake quiz it takes me back to the first question as intended. If I close out of the quiz window and then reopen it. I am back at the first question but the submit button is now grayed out and the only way I can move to the next question is through the slide navigation. The next question is fine with the blue submit button, but if I close out of the quiz window again and then reopen it now question 2 will have the submit button grayed out. 

 

I then proceed forward to fail again and when reviewing the questions, it will show question 1 and 2 as not being answered. 

 

I am publishing to scorm 1.2

Hello, I was able to get a hold of support and it looks like it's a bug. 

 

"This issue is repro at our end as well in version 12.3. The issue has been reported to the product team and a bug has been logged for the same. Bug No.: CPNXT-21404."

 

I see what you are saying that the quiz should be taken all in one go, but there may be some instances where someone needs to pick up again where they left off. Like if they have to step out and get timed out or accidentally close the wrong window. Hopefully they fix this soon. Maybe I should move to captivate classic.
