As my team was testing a new module, one of my associates told me that the score reported in the Quiz Results slide was different than the quiz score recorded in the LMS. I haven't been able to recreate this error myself after several attempts - does anyone have an idea as to why this might be happening?

Is the score slide the last slide in the course? If yes, can you try to add another slide after the score slide?

Hello - It is the last slide. How would adding another slide after it affect things?

If there is a delay transferring the results, due to a multitude of reasons.

Would a delay account for a test score appearing as an 80 in the quiz results slide and a 73 appearing in the LMS?

Are you talking about a percentage (Accuracy on the score slide) or the number or points (score)? Is it corresponding with one missing question?

Accuracy - The results are presented as a percentage. I'm not sure if there is an error with a specific question. I have gone back in 3 times and failed the test by missing different questions, but the Quiz Results and LMS scores always match up perfectly.

You are having a perfect connection to the LMS, maybe that is not always the case hence my suggestion to add an extra slide.
Can 7% be corresponding with the last question slide (check Advanced Interaction panel)? Are you using the default SCORM template (send data after each slide) or the alternative (send data at the end)?

Data is being sent at the end.
I'm still a little fuzzy on how adding the extra slide helps. Does it mitigate a bad LMS connection? Is there a specific type of slide that should be added?

Can you answer my question about the reporting type (SCORM template)? This is based on my experience as a professor in college, where I used assessments created with Captivate. I found that correct reporting to the LMS (we had some slow switches in class) was more to be trusted if the score slide was not the last slide. That last slide can be a Goodbye slide. Fine for me if you don't like to try it out, just telling that it helped for me (and for other users to which I offered the same suggestion).

I certainly don't mind trying it out, I was trying to understand the root cause regarding what the issue may be, and in turn how the new slide caused it. As I indicated earlier, we are using the template that has data being sent at the end.

That may be a lot of data to send, and could be the cause if the bandwidth/device used is limited in functionality. That explains why you don't have that problem. When transferring after each slide, it is less sensitive to those limitations.
