I am using Captivate 11.8.0.710 and have published the course to an LMS. I have set the Quiz attempts in the Quiz -> Pass/Fail settings to infinite attempts. The Retake button is turned on.
Do users have to retake the quiz in the same session using the retake button?
Currently, when a user fails the quiz and doesn’t choose Retake at that time, and ends the session of that module, when they come back to the quiz, they can no longer retake it. Instead, all they see is first question of the quiz in review mode with no navigation. Every time they return to the module, they are set to the next question in the quiz, but always still in review mode with no nav. For example, if there are 10 questions in the quiz, they could leave and return to the quiz 10 times to see each question in review mode but they would never be able to retake it. Is this the designed behavior?
Can you please check if Self-Paced Learning bookmarking is turned on in the TOC settings?
If it is selected, turn it off and test again.
Is there any kind of customisation or JavaScript added to this course?

This sounds more like behaviour that is caused by settings in your LMS.
How many launch attempts have you allowed in the LMS settings?
If you want to check whether something is being caused by the settings in the LMS or by the settings in the Captivate module, try uploading your module to SCORM Cloud's free online LMS to test it there.

Hi Rod,
Thanks for the response. That's what I thought too. The LMS was set to limit the number of attempts but has since been changed to allow unlimited attempts. The behavior stayed the same.
I uploaded the SCORM package to SCORM Cloud a while ago and got the same behavior there. That's why I was finally convinced it's a Captivate issue.

Hi Rod,
Sorry for the delay getting back. Was on vacation with no access to Captivate. That was indeed the issue - at least on Scorm Cloud, that fixed it. If there are any problems on our LMS, they are problems with the LMS. Thanks so much for your help!
