Recorded presentation - can't open file

Let me know if anyone can help.  We recorded a presentation which created a 150MB .cp file.  Unfortunately we can't open the file to be able to publish it.  Not sure if it is too large in size.

This was recorded using Captivate 4 and there is no error message.  Everytime we try to open the file (tried on multiple computers) the application looks like it just freezes and hangs.

Has anyone experienced this before and know how I can fix it?  This recorded file is very important for us to publish.  Thanks in advance.

150mb is huge, especially if the computer spec isn't all that high-end (the more RAM in your computer, the faster it should open).

Before you leave for the day, try to open the file and let Captivate work on it overnight.

Hopefully by the time you come in, it will have opened it successfully. If not, find the spec of the best computer you can (most installed RAM) in-house, install Captivate (even the trial version), and again give it as much time as you can to open the file.

Hopefully that will get it open for you. In the future, try to keep your recordings more-brief 😉
