    Gania,

    Not such a stupid question.

I have problems with understanding the way CP8 works with Save and Save As.

    As an example.

I have two folders, FolderA and FolderB.

I open up ProjectA from FolderA, by using File,Open and physically going to the folder.

I then use File,Save and the project is saved..

I then use File,Open to open ProjectB from FolderB.

I then use File,Save and it saves it.

However, if I use the File,Save As command Captivate offers to save my ProjectB in the previously used FolderA.

I often use version numbers at the end of my files names, such as ProjectBv01, ProjectBv02, and I have sometimes found that a file saved using Save As has ended up in the wrong folder.

Instead of File,Save As I now shut down Captivate and copy and rename files using plain old Windows, so I know what files I have in what folders. (A bit OTT, but it works for me.)

    Good luck.

If you're looking to change the name of the course in an LMS, you may need to open Preferences, select Reporting under Quiz, then Click Configure, then change the "Course Title" from the default of "Captivate E-Learning Course."

I believe this will also change the name of the page <title> created in the HTML file that is published with the project files.

I just want to change it in Captivate. Somehow my project got duplicated with the same name and I want to be sure I'm making changes to the right project. Your reporting in preferences looks different than mine. I'm using 8:

I didn't even think this was possible, but I have duplicates of the same project. I need to know I'm working on the right one, so I need the name change.

Try finding the location of the project by doing a mouse hover on project name.

Else you can do a save as with different name.
