Reviewing HotSpot Quiz Questions...About the Review Icons

Explorer ,
Jul 08, 2016 Jul 08, 2016

Hello. Using Captivate 9... and the HotSpot Quiz Question type.

When a user reviews the quiz, Captivate shows a tiny green checkmark for correct answers, a tiny green hand pointer for correct questions the user chose, and a tiny red hand pointer to indicate incorrect answers the user chose. With the hotspot images and screen size I am using, these indicators are almost invisible and therefore useless.  You can just barely see them (below).....Does anyone know a way to replace them with my own icons?????

Thanks!

I agree that these icons are very small and hard to see but there is currently no option in Captivate to replace these icons with ones of your own choosing.

Please lot a feature request using the form on the Adobe website.

I thought it was possible for HTML output to replace the used icons which you find in

C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Captivate 9 x64\HTML\assets\htmlimages

The Review icons are present in that folder.

My statement was that Captivate (i.e. the Captivate UI) provides no method or option for choosing different icons to replace the default ones.  If you are willing to get your hands dirty digging around in the HTML code almost anything is possible.

You can often replace Captivate's default icons with others of a similar size if you overwrite the image files in the Captivate install directory.

But the original poster was talking about greatly increasing the size of these icons. In such cases, if publishing to HTML5, you have to be careful that the icons are not going to be chopped off by the size of the DIV components into which they will be loaded.  If that happens then you need to start fiddling with the CSS in the CPM.js file and that is usually beyond the skill level of all but the most IT savvy users.

Lilybiri and RodWard, as usual, you two are awesome. This project is published to HTML5, and since you pointed me to the correct file with the DIV tags, it is something I might try. I am waiting to see if the client considers it important enough for me to invest the time. If not, I will log a feature request as suggested.

Thanks!
