I was able to get my Captivate project onto a web server. Is there a way I can retrieve data that the user enters into a text entry field (such as a name) to a google sheet? I took a look at the eLearning Brothers video on how to set it up but I was not able to get it work.

I believe the code you are referring to sends and receives data.

Are you wanting to just send data based on the username or are you also wanting to retrieve data based on the username?

I have modified scripts that send data to the sheet. You have to modify the scripts on both ends.

Hi there,

I appreciate this post is years old but hopefully it will be seen.

I need to send the data from Captivate to a GoogleSheet, ideally the built in variables like the username, course name, no. of attempts, score etc.

I tried the e-Learning Brothers post about the leaderboard but I couldn't add in additional variables in, do you have a code you use in order to send the data across and the google script code you could share please?

Many thanks
