Separate TTS audio to allow it to sync with CC
Using Captivate 6.0.
I have a LOT of Powerpoint slides that will be made into a Captivate presentation. In Powerpoint, I've separated the Slide notes into short sentences that can easily be displayed in the Closed Caption box. I go through all the steps to get the slides notes into TTS audio clips, and then the same slide notes into Closed Captions, but they don't sync up. It appears that the TTS audio clip is all one clip for the several sentences that I have on any given slide, rather than a separate clip for each sentence, and therefore the CC can't be in sync with the TTS audio. Is there a way to keep the clips separate so that the CC will automatically sync with the audio?
No, going in and synchronizing each CC clip with the one audio clip isn't really a good option, as I'll have thousands of slides to process this way.
This also be the long-term solution for the developers to solve this problem, rather than trying to do something fancy to synchronize the CC with the TTS audio, just make each TTS a separate audio clip.
Thank you
Furthermore, since the sentences are broken out and appear as separate boxes, there is no way that I can see to change when a CC display starts or ends, only when you create a new one. Is there any way to change the start and end times of a CC box?
