Show Feedback on revisited slide

Working in Captivate 7, output to html5 to be used on ipad.

Wondering is there a way for the feedback to stay on the screen if a user comes back to that screen?

Example:  User completes question 1 and gets feedback for a wrong answer on a multiple choice question, user goes to next slide and then decides they want to go back to previous slide to see the response again...as my project displays, now there is no longer any feedback visible, only the response they selected a little bit greyed out.  (which causes confusion because they are not able to retake the question as we don't want them to be able to retake the question)

Would be nice if the feedback stayed on the screen until the activity was completed...

I guess one workaround would be to not allow any backward movement but ideally we can get the feedback to stay up there...

The current design of quiz slides is that you have to quit the feedback captions to move to the next slide, and you cannot change that design.

I always just disable backward movement.  It works.

This is indeed the current design... You could mimick the behavior that you want by using an On Enter advanced action but I wonder if it is worthwhile to do because it will mean a lot of work even with the shared actions in CP7. And you know perhaps that I'm not 'afraid' of actions, just bit realistic.

Unfortunate because many times a user may wish to revisit a slide after going past which is another repetition at a crucial moment...feedback at that moment would be very effective

You can do it, just create the appropriate custom captions that you want to show, instead of the default captions and hide them initially. And use the Success/Failure events of the Question slide to show the caption. It will remain visible. However if you want to allow Retake of the quiz, you'll have to make sure that the captions disappear again after the quiz Retake is started. That will make it more complicated, because then you'll need a conditional action.

That's too complicated, we don't have time to make those edits...but I can't seem when as an educator you would want only a greyed out selection of the answer they chose with no feedback as opposed to showing the feedback...

OK, but that is the way the Question slides are designed. During Review, the learner will see his answer and the correct answers. That is what Review is meant to do. As I explain it is possible to achieve what you want, but it needs extra work.

Yes but it's different when a student finishes the quiz and returns to view the slide because that is where we tell them to go and a student on their own motivation decides they want to go back 2 questions and have another look at a question and their feedback...those 2 situations are very different.  Considering not all learners review all of their work it just seems like it would be a good idea if we could give our learners that option to view feedback when they want it, not when we tell them to look at it.

When the user finished the quiz he will use the Review button on the score slide and see the feedback the way it is designed by that feature. And the other situation you described is when the user wants to go back to an answered question slide before ending the quiz, correct? Do you mean that you want to have the same behavior, look for the question slides in both situations?

Yes...so that after completing the question at any time when they return to that slide during the attempt they see the feedback...

The only way to achieve this is to have a separate caption on the slide that contains the same information as the normal feedback captions.  You can set this caption to be SHOWN by the ON Success or On Last Attempt events for the quiz slide.  Then, since you haven't defined any way for the caption to be hidden again, it will always be visible to the user whenever they return to the quiz question.

If you want the Captivate quizzing to work in a different way than it was designed, you need to log an enhancement request and state your case very clearly.  If enough people log similar requests, then Adobe may listen.  However, I'd have to say that the kind of functionality you are asking for is not something I have seen a lot of other people wanting.  So by all means log an enhancement request, but don't hold your breath waiting for it.
