Hi
I have created a video showing a 360rotaion av a product.
Added it as a slidevideo
I set up different buttons that will spin the object to specific parts of the product. I am trying to figure out a way to creat a rewind function. Not just jump 10 frames back but a real rewind action.
Possible?

Of course, I have no experience with the type of video you created, probably due to my previous answer to a related question.
It may be worthwhile to have a look at my tutorials about Replay/Reset:
https://blog.lilybiri.com/replay-or-reset-slide
https://blog.lilybiri.com/replay-slash-reset-slide-2-captivate-tutorial
These were written for version 11.5, not for the new version 12. Sorry, but cannot remember which version you are using.
If you are on version 12, those workflows are no longer valid, which is a big step back. Replay can still be done with a static bookmark, which I explained here:
https://blog.lilybiri.com/static-bookmarks-in-new-captivate
That may be sufficient, let me know about the version. Slide video is synchronized with Captivate's timeline, so it may be indeed the way to go.

Sure... my bad. Since you talk about 360° slides which are impossible in that 'New' Captivate which I will probably not really use neither in the near future.
You are looking for a Rewind Slide, which I label 'Replay slide'. Reason why you don't have it out of the package, is that the frame counter in Captivate is not per slide, but for the whole project. The Rewind button on the playbar is for the project.
Those blog posts (and older ones about the same topic) are very popular, which I understand. Creating a Replay slide button is not that hard, be honest. Reset the slide is bit more complicated. Be happy: most of what I explain there is impossible in the 'New' Captivate. There are still a lot of bugs concerning bookmarks in the New version. When I mentioned the lack of dynamic bookmarks (on runtime) the engineers didn't even understand me. I wrote those posts also for them, but doubt they will read them.

I reached out to Adobe support to see how this could be solved. Not that easy as I thought it would be. They would come back to me in a couple of days when they had looked in to it. Hopefully we will get a solution.

Although I remember my cassette players well, I do not really understand what you expect. You can create an eternal loop for an action where the playhead is getting back one or a couple of frames, and need another action to stop the loop. Is that what you expect? I would do this with advanced actions, but suspect that the staff members will offer you JavaScript.

I simple just want a button that the user can click on whenever and the project will start to scrub/play backwards until it hit a pause script. If I could use an eternal lop that will couse the project to jump back one frame at the time until it hit the pause script that would be nice

That is pretty easy, but with one big disadvantage: there is a small pause between each action in the loop and although I asked to be able to shorten that pause I was never heard. The while loop is also available in the new version, but since they killed a lot of system variables, the loop I am talking about is impossible. Micro-navigation should be replaced by the bookmarks, but only static bookmarks are possible. I planned already to write out some use cases for dynamic bookmarks in Captivate Classic, but since almost nobody is interested anymore in that version, it is not really worthwhile.
Use cases I had in mind:

I was also thinking about a solution(if possible) to repeat a action. Not sure that is possible but for example create a script that repeat another script until it reach a pause script. If its a pause between that could caus a problem.

Maybe you can have a look at an example output, where I used the While loop:
https://blog.lilybiri.com/simple-stopwatch-with-while-loop
I would suggest to create the loop in your case not per frame but per 3frames, which means 0.1sec.

Thanks for the heads up. He is the person for JS, which I presume that script was.

Not excactly what I was looking for. Want it to rewind as an old kasetplayer. trying out the ones from your blog it jumot to the start of the slidevideo
One would think rewinding the timeline would be an easy (built in?) thing i captivate.
