Hi,

I am trying to use Captivate projects in LearnDash and I upload them via Grassblade as xAPI content. I however experience that the projects are loading very slowly and have tried almost all the different settings. It takes a long time before the first picture shows - can it be related to settings in Captivate, and do you have some inputs on how to solve the problem?

Can you answer these questions:

  • Which exact version of Captivate do you use? Provide the full version number which you find under Help, About Captivate (Win) or Captivate, About Captivate.
  • You mention xAPI, does that mean that you have Reporting turned on in Quiz Preferences?
  • Did you publish to HTML?
  • Is this a responsive or a non-responsive project?
  • If it is a responsive project are you sure the LMS supports that type of projects?
  • Can you please check the published output in SCORM Cloud to see its behavior on that standard LMS?

Thank you for your response. The Captivate Version is 12.1.0.16,

Reporting is turned on in Quiz Preferences, and it is published in HTML. It is a responsive project, and yes the LMS should support this type of project. SCORM cloud outputs also behave the same way. Can it be other settings in Captivate?

This week a new patch release appeared. Can you try to update to 12.2.0.19? Several bugs should have been fixed.

Can you post a screenshot of the Quiz Preferences?

Great with bug fixes, thank you. I'm attaching a screenshot of the quiz preferences, this is with xAPI setting.

I am a bit worried about the 'Mandate' field (formerly labeled as 'Required'). Try to set it back to the default (Optional) because your choice would for sure cause problems in former versions. Did you check in Scorm Cloud?

Thank you - the update helped quit a lot. Scorm was not the solution. Thank you for your help!

Great! Nevertheless be careful with that 'Required' field, it can cause problems.
