Smart Shape button on Hotspot Question Slide

Is there a way to use a smart shape button on a question slide so when you click on it that Captivate doesn't treat the button as part of the screen that is a potential hotspot area?

No way, answered same question recently. The whole slide is considered as being clickable in this case, and since everything on a default question slide is on top of the stack, the whole slide will be covering the shape button.

If you want a hotspot question where you control everything, don't use the default hotspot question. You can easily create a hotspot question with shapes as clickable hotspots with the big advantage that the hotspots in that case do not have to be squares/rectangles.

Hi Lieve,

When you say "You can easily create a hotspot question with shapes as clickable hotspots", do you mean use a smart shape as a button?

Is there a way of keeping one success/ failure caption for the entire slide as with the hotspot quiz slide?
