Snap to Window not working in Captivate 9 on machine with Windows 10
I recently got a new laptop that has Windows 10. I installed Captivate 9, which I previously used successfully on my old laptop that had an older version of Windows. I use Captivate to record software simulations of my company's software. I set it up to record the browser window (I've tried firefox, chrome, and edge) that contains the website I'm trying to record. It worked great on my old laptop. But now when I click 'snap to window' the red line the indicates the recording area outlines an area much bigger than the browser window. Also, my check in the 'snap to window' will not stay. The box is 'checked' for a split second, and then unchecks itself. I've tried many alternative ways to record the correct window, including the custom size. After meticulously sizing the red box perfectly around my browser window, I recorded more than an hour, just to see disappointing results: my desktop background was included in the recording even though I am positive the red line was fitted snugly around the browser window I was recording. I've also tried 'file>record a new> software simulation' and tried every possible option available to record just my browser window, but no luck. My laptop resolution is recommended at 1920 x 1080. Ideally, I'd like my project to be 1280x720. I'm frustrated that I'm wasting so much time on this. any ideas?
