Sound issues on publish and preview

Hi, I'm working with the brand new Captivate, the latest version.

I'm having weird sound problems. I add an audio file to a slide (I tried different audio format) (The audio was recorded outside of Captivate). Everything seems fine. If I listen to the audio in Captivate, everything is normal, but if I try to publish the project or even just preview it, the something happens. At the end of my narration, some of the last few words just repeat themselves.

As an example, my narration would say "bla bla bla, to continue, just click on the button on the lower left side of your screen."

In the browser (Itried Chrome and edge), you would hear

"bla bla bla, to continue, just click on the button on the lower left side of your screen. lower left side of your screen."

Anyone having that kind of problem? Any idea what would be causing it?

Multiple users have reported audio issues indeed. Can you please check the full version number under Help, About Captivate. Make sure to update to 12.3.0.12!

Best practice is to always import original WAV files in Captivate. They will be compressed to MP3 on publishing. Do not use long clips, and I still prefer to leave a small gap before and after the audio clip in the Timeline. This version is rendering even slower than prevous versions, and an audio clip needs to be loaded on entering a slide.

Just saw a new problem... The Audio form slide 4 plays right after the audio from slide 3, even if I'm still on slide 3...

Yes, I added a gap at the start and at the end of the sound files. It seems to have resolved the issue. thanks

Same as for previous versions, that is an old trick.
